In 2 years, Learn Tagalog Fast will become the #1 downloaded Filipino language application for both Filipino and non-Filipino speakers

Simple navigation with minimal learning curve

Practice opportunities for speaking, listening, reading, and writing

Insights:

Design Process
1. Wireframing and Ideation
Created low-fidelity sketches focusing on core features: Home screen, Lesson modules, Practice exercises and Quiz format.
Emphasized a clean layout with clear icons and minimal text to appeal to beginners.
2. Visual Design
Color Palette: Bright, inviting colors inspired by Filipino culture (e.g., vibrant orange, yellows, and green).
Typography: Simple, legible fonts for clarity.
Iconography: Custom icons representing lessons, quizzes, and cultural tips.
3. Prototyping
Developed an interactive prototype using Figma to simulate user flow.
Focused on ease of navigation: a bottom navigation bar with tabs for Home, Lessons, Practice, and Profile.

Usability Testing & Iterations
Conducted sessions with target users to identify pain points.
Gathered feedback on navigation clarity and content engagement.
Implemented iterative improvements:
Enhanced onboarding clarity.
Increased contrast for better readability.
Streamlined quiz interface for quicker responses.

Create a community within the app (add and challenge friends)

Native language of the user as teaching method (if user is Chinese, teach in Mandarin)
Audio cues all throughout the app
Select other Filipino languages (Cebuano, llocano, etc.) as part of premium subscription
